Mulholland=Ruined?

I was driving Mulholland (not the one to Malibu, the one to the Hollywood Hills) and didn't have a good time like I usually do. There are a few problems.

1. Traffic. I was either stuck behind someone doing 40 on the straights and 10 (no joke) in the corners, or someone doing 20 everywhere!

2. Road quality. It's pretty damn hard to close off sections to repave it because it's the only way to access many of the houses up there. Because of this, the road is filled with pot holes and bad patches.

3. SPEED LIMITS! They just lowered the speed limit from 35 to 30 MPH.

So damn, my heaven is ruined :(. It used to be a blast, but I just can't stand it now. It's just boring.

I rode Mulholland Dr once , it was miserable, lots of traffic and tons of rich people driving expensive cars like total dicks for whom the rules don't apply (probably true).

That was Mulholland Highway, which is still a great driving/road. This article is talking about Mulholland Drive, a completely different and completely shitty road.

Depends on time and chunk, but the low speed limit is the last straw. I'm sure the Malibu area is still fine, but it's disappointing.

This is just how Mulholland always was for me. Maybe a couple of good days in (Tuna Canyon is great!), but for the most part its a drive to the beach for people and that makes for a bad road. Hence my deviation to the mountains like I said earlier.
